It’s nice to see that Pete Doherty isn’t dead yet as I haven’t heard from him in a while. The Daily Mail reports that the money-strapped musician has resorted to paying for cab rides from one company with his art. The company’s owner revealed that he told Pete that he’d be happy to provide taxi services in exchange for paintings saying “I have come to realise that Pete is brilliantly talented. The composition of his paintings is brilliant and he himself is a very generous and warm-hearted person. I am quite happy for him to pay me in paintings because I know they will be increasingly collectable.” He has a point. Limited edition prints signed in Pete’s blood have sold for up to $5,000.

A new video has surfaced featuring Akon and his girl-smacking concert in Guyana. The singer’s people claim that the footage tells a much different story that the shorter, edited version that’s been heating up the blogs recently. The longer version shows what happens directly after Akon nails two women who got too close to the singer. If you’ve seen the shorter version, you know that it cuts off right after the whacking. I’m not sure if it completely vindicates the guy but you can check out the new video and judge for yourself.

Us is reporting that Brit is being courted for the role of Jesus’ mother in an upcoming film entitled ‘Sweet Baby Jesus’. It’s supposed to be a satire of the nativity story. It goes that Mary is a pregnant 19-year old who doesn’t know how she got knocked up, living in a place called Bethlehem, Maryland.

The movie’s producer, Philippe Rebboah had to convince his partners about it. If she does sign on, he’s going to have to convince her to show up for filming too.

Wednesday was a good day for Shia LeBeouf as prosecutors read a letter from Walgreens Co. stating that they are not going to continue their suit against him.

The former Disney channel star and current star of “Transformers” was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing after he was arrested on November 4th. He was shopping in a Chicago Walgreens drugstore when a security guard told him to leave because he appeared to be drunk. Shia refused and police were called.

Enjoying a two day visit to Las Vegas, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes finish up the trip by attending a Celine Dion concert at Caesar’s Palace.

Sources say the couple was very gracious and happily signed autographs for fans before the show. They then sat down to watch the two and a half hour show.

After the show, Tom and Katie went and spent some time meeting Celine. She said she was both excited and nervous about having them watch her performance.

Also that night, the couple enjoyed a romantic dinner at the SW Steakhouse at the Wynn. Another diner says they were holding hands and were “very lovey dovey”.

I Won`t Do Nude Scenes Again: Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman has vowed that she will never strip again for screen after filming a risqué scene for her new short movie "Hotel Chevalier".

Portman's nude shots will soon be available on the Internet even before the film is officially released. And she is upset that she agreed to do something that was awkward in the prelude to "The Darjeeling Limited" directed by Wes Anderson, contactmusic.com reports.

Portman has insisted that she was convinced that nude scenes were required for the movie.

Portman, who requested director Mike Nichols to cut the nudity from "Closer" and used a body double for "Goya's Ghosts', said that she felt it was right to do bare scenes in the latest film.

She said, "I don't know why, exactly. Sometimes you make rules for yourself and sometimes those rules are made to be broken. You have to test things out and see what works for you, and this felt right.

"I'm really sorry I didn't listen to my intuition. From now on, I'm going to trust my gut more. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is to say no."

The Academy-award nominated star also said that she urged director Wes Anderson to give her a chance to work with him.
